All Work & No Play Makes J.O. a Dull...

We love our clients and work hard to make them successful. Occasionally we reward ourselves with company get-togethers, and even a little playtime.

December: No Place Like GNOME for the Holidays
To celebrate the holidays of 2011, the staff at J.O. decided to have a little "White Elephant" get-together. There were two conditions, however: we could not spend more than $15, and each gift had to be some kind of gnome. Why a gnome? Well . . . why not?! (Actually, we think we politely stole the idea from another company that did the same thing. It sounded fun. And it was!) Check out the pics on Facebook to see our day of holiday fun!

  • The Joke's On Drew

    • Art Attack
Despite a summer of punishingly high temperatures, a freak snow storm hit Montgomery Plaza in the early evening hours of August 20, surprising crowds of shoppers and diners. Santa Claus showed up, too! He brought a flash mob of people with him, including J.O.'s employees – complete in winter clothes – who passed out hot chocolate, shiny wrapped presents and holiday cards. Santa and his mob weren't just spreading holiday cheer, they were also telling people about WorthGoing.com, Fort Worth's new resource for arts and entertainment events happening around town. J.O. Bowling
In September of 2010, J.O. bowled its second consecutive strike, taking home the title of Best Costumes at the 8th annual Clampitt Bowl. Our team's theme? The Bowl Movement. Tacky? Maybe. Immature? Perhaps. Funny? Totally! We were a group of tie-dyed, peace sign-waving '70s protesters carrying signs attached to plungers and chanting in support of . . . well, of fiber. (Hey, you be good to your colon, it'll be good to you!) After two games, we even staged a sit-in. Click here to see the movement!

    • October brought a Carve & November brought a Fiesta
In October of 2010, J.O.'s team decided to get into the spirit and host an in-house pumpkin-carving contest! Each team member was assigned a client and given the task to carve anything and everything into a pumpkin to represent that client! It turned into a messy yet fun task and our pictures on Facebook are priceless!

November brought about a feast! This was not your typical feast, it was composed of J.O. team members' favorite Mexican foods! Among the dishes consumed were tamales, queso, tortillas, tacos, sopapillia cheesecake and much more. We decided working on a full stomach is much better for the creative process!

    • Tacky Sweater Soiree
The title itself says it all. Sounds like way too much fun, right? We thought so too!
The 2010 J.O. Holiday Party shared some classy boxed wine, store-bought fruit cake, plastic poinsettias and too many other things to list here. Our extravaganza was held at our new building and included  karaoke, a photo booth and even a tacky sweater contest. But, of course, we didn't want to get too tacky. That's why guests were also asked to bring items to donate to our friends at Goodwill for the holiday season. Click here to see the tackiness.
