It's about time...

To make the switch.
If you’re anything like me, you switched to timeline just as soon as you could convince Facebook that you were a developer. If you are anything like most of our clients, you are still holding onto the old user personal and business profile, dreading the day that Facebook is going to force you onto timeline. To those of you who have not made the “big leap,” I want to throw out a few ideas on why it’s more beneficial for you to switch sooner rather than later.
- Learn it! If you make the switch early enough, Facebook will allow you time to play with the new layout before making it visible to all. This can help you avoid making any embarrassing mistakes for all to see.
- Share it! No, I’m not suggesting anything viral. Take what you’ve learned and share it with others, including those with whom you work. If you make the transfer to a new profile, you can learn the “in’s and out’s” personally before implementing them on your business page.
- Use it! Facebook is constantly evolving; timline is not the final step for Facebook so you better use it while you can. The sooner you make the transition, the longer you will have with it. And who wants to go through the process of learning a “new version of Facebook” just for them to switch it once you have it down? Trust me, I know Facebook already has something up their sleeve to replace timeline.
If you want some practical advice, go ahead and switch your Facebook profile to timeline. And, if after reading this you are too overwhelmed to do so, give me a call and I’ll do it for you.
Yours truly,
The Social Media Queen
