17 days and counting…

That’s right! We have 17 days left until the Komen Greater Fort Worth Race for the Cure, which is scheduled for Saturday, April 14 at the Ridgmar Mall in Fort Worth.  With so much left to do, the J.O. team is working hard to get ready. Our main mission at this point is to generate awareness for this wonderful cause, and as Race Day approaches, we are finalizing some of our marketing efforts.

Beyond the fact that Komen Greater Fort Worth is one of J.O.’s clients, the event helps raise so much money and awareness, annually, for this great cause that we wanted to do more as an agency than just help the foundation plan and advertise the event. So we decided to form a team for Race Day called The BreastSavers. To help us come together as a team, we are going to make Race Day T-shirts to wear so everyone will know who is a member of team J.O.!

Teams are a really fun way to get involved, but individuals can register for the race as well, so there is no excuse to sit out this event. To make your own team or register yourself, click here.

The Race is such an exciting day -- the air is electric, and knowing that you are supporting a cause that will affect so many people’s lives makes it worth the early Saturday morning start. Racers can choose to either participate non-competitively in the one mile “fun run,” or competitively in the 5K portion of the Race. If this avenue does not seem like the perfect fit for you, there are many other wonderful ways to get involved with the Race. There is “Marathon for the Cure” for the especially brave, and even “Sleep In For The Cure” for those of you who feel like supporting in pajamas instead of sneakers. Regardless of the method, there is a way for everyone to support Komen Greater Fort Worth in their own way.
